This occasion commemorated the start of construction activities first announced in March of this year. The newly expanded park will include a quarter-mile walking trail, new restroom facilities, covered pavilion, basketball court and a multi-purpose soccer field. Additionally, a new park parking lot will be constructed to accomodate more guests.
“Our company’s roots are steeped in Center, and we look forward to giving back to the city that is home to our work and community family,” says Ben Wulf, CEO of Portacool, LLC, the naming sponsor of the park and funding partner.
“The Council and our friends at Portacool, LLC, desire to create a special place where our families and businesses have a beautiful place to relax and play,” added David Chadwick, Mayor of Center. “We truly could not have made this grand project without their support.”
