This summer marked the 52nd season of the Texas Outdoor Musical at the Pioneer Amphitheater in Palo Duro Canyon, Texas. Running from early June to mid-August, this musical uses fictional characters to showcase real-life inspired events experienced by the earliest settlers of the Texas Panhandle in the early 1800s. Song, dance and a grand finale of fireworks offers an inspired show with a cast of 60 actors, singers and dancers. The backdrop is particularly spectacular as the show’s stage is nestled in the natural basin in the Palo Duro Canyon, the nation’s second largest canyon.
Given it is Texas, what is also sure to be present is the heat leading up to the evening performances. Thanks to Texas-based Portacool, cooling stations from the front areas to the sides of the stage keep play patrons and performers cool and comfortable.
The Portacool team is pleased to partner with a group that celebrates Texas heritage in our home state.
